Simple Homemade Pita Bread

Simple Homemade Pita Bread

I have become quite the baker this winter, being indoor the majority of the day was the perfect excuse to mess around with some flour and yeast.

The results are fascinating…

My little helper, she’s turning 2 in a couple months and i can already tell she got mommy’s unusually long fingers.

But seriously Flour and yeast are magical!

I have baked french bread, biscuits, brownies, pop tarts and now pita bread. I’m starting to feel like the vegan version of the pioneer women. I think I could homestead which is Mitchell’s dream but I gotta learn how to make Kombucha first.

These pita bread were AMAZING! Light and fluffy, perfect for stuffing a bunch of veggies.

While I was preparing the pita bread I had one of those “in the moment” blissful moments. Meadow was entertaining herself (which that itself is blissful, haha) with her little people doll house. She was talking up a storm and i could barely handle her cute baby voice. I just wanted to squeeze her! Then i look over to our huge windows in our living room and snow is falling, big fluffly snowflakes and the sun is shining. I go to turn on the oven and its 11:11.

I was just like #blessed, haha wow! The universe really has my back and everything is beautiful.

Perhaps it was the pita bread, making a recipe that is 4,000 years old or maybe i was just really in the moment. Either way, go try it! Its the bomb!

Have a great week everyone! Thank you for visiting! 🙂
