One of our favorite fall traditions is going to a Bend pumpkin patch. In Bend, there are two options, Smith Rock Ranch and DD Ranch. We’ve been to both and you can’t go wrong, my personal favorite is Smith Rock Ranch.
At Smith Rock Ranch, there is a U-pick field of pumpkins where you physically have to yank the growing pumpkin out of the ground. It was fun for Meadow to walk through the maze of vines without tripping and finding the perfect one.
The moment we arrived to the pumpkin patch she knew she wanted a small pumpkin. She was so happy when she found the tiniest one in the field.
I found one that matched the size of my pregnant belly, haha.
Shes so stoked about her pumpkin, it was so cute!
At the pumpkin patch, they had several activities for a whole family to enjoy. There is a massive corn maze, and the theme changes every year, I guarantee you get lost. There are pumpkin cannons, and it’s always fun to see how far you can shoot a pumpkin. For our little one, she enjoyed the zoo train, face paint, pet zoo, and pony ride the best.
Each activity costs a couple tokens and tokens are $3 each. If you get hungry, they have several food trucks to please most cravings. It is dog-friendly, they even have a dog park! We kept seeing the cutest dogs in their Halloween costumes; it was adorable! Bring your fur babies. Its well organized and the views of Smith Rock behind the glowing orange pumpkins is what October dreams are made of.
Now its time to carve some spooky pumpkins!
Happy October Everyone!
