Fall is such a lovely time in Bend. The days are warm and sunny but the air is crisp. It is the perfect weather to walk around town and admire the pretty colors. You can’t help but have a bounce to your step.
I love October because it is so fun to take Meadow to the pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins, and watch her play with leaves. It’s so dreamy! On this specific day, we walked downtown and grabbed ice cream at Bonta. They have several dairy-free options and this time, a chai latte, which tasted like Thanksgiving! So yummy!
We walked over to Drake Park and pretty much stayed there for a few hours building leaf piles and then tossing them on each other. Towards the end Meadow tumbled in slow motion and landed chin first, poor baby had an ouchie but handled it like a champ. Toddlers are so tough–Thank God.
If you’re visiting Bend in the fall, here are my favorite spots to check out;
- Shevlin park
- Drake park
- Downtown/Drake park historic neighborhood
- Tumalo falls
- Tumalo state park
Bend looks so cozy this time of year, perfect for a fall vacation.
