We love Drake park so much that it deserves a post of its own. It is the most beautiful city park I have ever seen with riverfront views, green open lawns, and a stage where musicians gather around and in this particular day, a Shakespeare play. As you stroll around the park, you notice a very romantic bridge that crosses over the river, on the river you see theres paddle boarders, people on floaties going with the flow of the water and lots of geese. Drake is surrounded by gorgeous historic homes, large shaded trees, and soft green grass.

We like to go in the evening and slowly make our way to crows feet commons, it’s a relaxed coffee and beer bar in the oldest home in Bend. It’s one of our favorite spots. Mitchell and I grab drinks and enjoy the sunset while Meadow is running around, it’s a win-win situation. One time while my parents were visiting we went on a date and ended up at Drake late at night. We sat there watching bats swarm the water, it was so cool. I have never seen so many bats in my life, sounds creepy haha but it was neat.

Mitchell and I often talk about how Bend reminds us of an early 90s family movie like Dennis the Menace. Everyone is so friendly, waves, people make small talk, and there are families everywhere. Kids climbing trees, chasing each other around, old couples holding hands, it’s so cute!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
